Greg Mekanik is a Partner and Head of Specialty Sales with ACA Group. In this role, he helps clients find solutions that fit their unique needs and challenges from across ACA’s different business lines: Regulatory Compliance, Cybersecurity, Investment Performance, Distribution, and Managed Services.
For nearly 20 years, he has played a pivotal role in shaping compliance strategies for investment advisers and private fund managers. As a consultant with ACA Group, he led complex client engagements, including forensic testing, compliance program reviews, mock SEC inspections, and gap analyses. Greg also helps private funds build their compliance programs during their launch phase. In 2021, Greg was listed by Business Insider as one of the 29 bankers, advisors, and lawyers to know if starting a hedge fund.
Greg has been instrumental in developing and maintaining ACA’s client relationships and overseeing business development efforts. Throughout his tenure as a consultant, he has led or contributed to over 250 projects, ensuring firms navigate regulatory challenges effectively.
A graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a concentration in Investment Management, Greg brings deep expertise and strategic insight into his role, helping clients stay ahead in an evolving regulatory landscape.
