Patrick Olson is the Vice Chairman of ACA Group, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining ACA, Patrick spent 17 years as a senior leader at BlackRock, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a privately held institutional bond manager into the world’s largest asset manager. His notable positions at BlackRock included Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Chief Product Officer, Chief Operating Officer of EMEA, and Global Head of Strategy and Planning. Prior to BlackRock, Patrick was a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Merrill Lynch.
Patrick’s career is marked by his ability to drive growth within companies as both an operator and advisor. His expertise aligns with ACA’s mission to provide leading GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) solutions to the financial services sector. Patrick is a champion of ACA’s strategic approach, which integrates advisory, managed services, and technology to deliver solutions for clients as they navigate regulatory complexities, evolving technologies, and resource constraints.
Patrick earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He also holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
