At ACA Group, we believe that our strength lies in our diversity. This Pride Month, we are excited to celebrate with our employee resource group (ERG), ACA ALLiance, to honor the contributions and experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community within ACA and beyond.

As the leading governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) advisor in financial services, we understand that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are not just buzzwords, but integral components of our success. Our commitment to DEI is woven into the fabric of who we are and how we operate. We recognize that diverse perspectives drive innovation, foster creativity, and enhance our ability to deliver excellence to our clients.

ACA ALLiance, our LGBTQIA+ and ally ERG, plays a vital role in fostering an inclusive environment at ACA. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life for LGBTQIA+ individuals within ACA and the wider community. The group provides education, advocates for inclusive policies, supports community outreach, and creates a safe space for peer support and networking.

This Pride Month, ACA ALLiance is hosting a series of activities centered around the theme "LGBTQIA+ in the Arts." These events are designed to educate, engage, and celebrate ACA’s employees and the rich contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community to our workforce.

On June 6th, we will have the pleasure of interviewing Shaun Heard, a multifaceted artist who brings authenticity and awareness to themes like race, sexual orientation, and mental health. His work as an actor, producer, filmmaker, director, public speaker, and professor exemplifies the powerful role that arts play in driving social change and fostering understanding.

Later in the month, on June 18th, we will partner with PFLAG for a workshop titled "Be Kind, Rewind: Recognizing Your Role in Building Inclusion." This session aims to help us all become more inclusive, kind team members by recognizing our biases and learning strategies to foster a welcoming and respectful workplace.

We are also excited to announce that our Book Club’s Q2 pick, Fairest by Meredith Talusan, was jointly selected by the ALLiance and Asian and Pacific Islander ERGs. This memoir offers a poignant exploration of identity.

ACA ALLiance

The overall mission of ACA ALLiance, with the help of its LGBTQIA+ and ally members, is to enhance the quality of LGBTQIA+ lives within ACA and the community. In supporting this mission, ACA ALLiance provides education to ACA staff and advocates for more inclusive policies and practices, where needed.

ACA ALLiance, in conjunction with ACA Gives Back and ACA's other ERGs, provides charitable funding, sponsorship, and community outreach to organizations that support the LGBTQIA+ community’s needs and rights. ACA ALLiance also creates a safe space and peer-to-peer forum for LGBTQIA+ employees’ questions or needs and informal mentoring and networking opportunities with senior members of ACA.
